Earth to MCI...helloooooo?
I call MCI to change my mom's telephone service to her new
retirement home. "Hello this is Mary Anne" My ass. Where in India
are you? If you've not read the World is Flat...you must!!!!
There's a chapter on the training that goes into these Indian call
centers. Anyway, I explain all...and she starts a fake cry "I so
sorry about your father dying". Bullshit. It was 42 years ago....I
just want to move the service. "Who are you" I am his son,
remember. "Oh, why do you want to move the service?" I explain.
"Who is she to you?" MY MOTHER, DAMN IT! "Is she dead too?". WTF
must I do to move the service. "We need death certificates for your
father and mother". NO, my mother is ALIVE!!! "Once we have the
death certificate, it will take 60 days to move the service". WTF!!!!
OH GOD - Must I transfer the service to SBC (OMGGGGGGG!!!!)
and then try to move it or just give up the phone number and start over?

I moved 3 months ago and MCI has called me every day for 3 months to get me to discuss my MCI account. I have never had nor would I ever do any real business with these creeps.
It now seems they need all of my information (name, address, telephone #, zip code, blood type, shoe size, hat size, children’s birth dates, wife’s menstrual cycle date, date I lost my virginity, my sons ACT score, and proof of how I spent my last 4th of July) just so they can stop calling me about an account that I never had with them.
Does anybody have any idea how I can get this abuse to stop? I suppose I will have to change my telephone number but that sucks because I am the one who will have to suffer all the inconvenience and expense of doing so.
